Metasmart Sheets: questions buyers ask
What thickness of metal is used for laser cut screens?
Nitin Metasmart Sheets are cut in mild steel from 0.2 mm to 16 mm, stainless steel from 0.1 mm to 6 mm, GI from 0.1 mm to 4 mm, aluminium from 0.5 mm to 2 mm and brass from 0.5 mm to 6 mm. Outdoor screens generally use thicker sheet for stiffness.
Can I get a laser cut metal screen made to my own design?
Yes. Metasmart Sheets are cut to the customer's design. Send a drawing, image or DXF file with the size and metal, and Nitin Wire Group will advise on thickness and give a quote.
Which metal is best for an outdoor laser cut screen?
Aluminium and stainless steel do not rust and suit outdoor screens with little upkeep. Mild steel is stronger and cheaper but needs powder coating or painting outdoors. Corten-style rust finishes need specific steel grades.
Where are laser cut metal sheets used?
Laser cut metal sheets are used for privacy and garden screens, balcony and staircase panels, facade cladding, main gates, compound wall inserts, room partitions, ceiling features and signage.
