What is GI wire used for?
GI (galvanised iron) wire is used for fence stays and tie wire, supporting creepers and grape vines, ceiling suspension wires, bucket handles and belt clips. Nitin GI wire comes in 0.6 mm to 4 mm diameter.
What is binding wire used for in construction?
Binding wire is soft mild steel wire used to tie steel reinforcement bars together before concrete is poured. Nitin supplies MS binding wire from 1 mm to 4 mm, also used for bundling packages.
What is the mm size of 8, 10, 12 and 14 gauge wire?
On the standard wire gauge (SWG) used in India, 8 gauge is about 4.06 mm, 10 gauge about 3.25 mm, 12 gauge about 2.64 mm and 14 gauge about 2.03 mm. A higher gauge number means thinner wire.
Why use PVC coated wire for fencing?
PVC coated wire has a plastic layer over the steel core that keeps out moisture, so it resists rust longer than bare wire and is easier on hands and plants. Nitin PVC coated wire comes in 1 mm to 5.5 mm.
