Light, flexible chicken mesh for shed sides and runs, in six roll heights.

Made to order in 12 to 30 mm openings for farm boundaries.
- Low-cost barriers
Nylon and shade nets are the cheapest, quickest way to keep birds from straying.
Poultry Net: questions buyers ask
Which mesh is best for a poultry farm?
Hexagonal chicken mesh is the usual choice for shed sides because it is light and economical. Welded mesh is stronger and better against dogs, snakes and other predators. Chainlink suits the farm perimeter. Nylon net is the cheapest temporary barrier.
What gauge chicken mesh should I use?
Nitin hexagonal wire netting comes in 20 gauge and 22 gauge with 15 mm openings. 20 gauge is the thicker, stronger wire; 22 gauge is lighter and cheaper. Choose 20 gauge where predators or rough handling are a concern.
What roll sizes does chicken mesh come in?
Nitin hexagonal chicken mesh comes in rolls 40 m long and 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 ft high, with a 15 mm opening in 20 or 22 gauge wire.
Can welded mesh be used for poultry cages?
Yes. Welded mesh with 12 mm to 25 mm openings and 1 mm to 3 mm wire is used for poultry cages and shed walls because the welded joints keep the openings fixed. PVC coated mesh is also available.
Is hexagonal chicken mesh galvanised?
Hexagonal chicken mesh for outdoor use is normally galvanised to protect the thin wire from rust. Ask Nitin Wire Group to confirm the coating on the gauge and roll height you order.
